Setup Guide

Search Console shows how your site appears in Google search results. It helps us track indexing, fix errors, and improve your visibility. Follow these steps, then copy the details in What We Need From You into your Premium Setup Form.

1 Add Property

Add your site to Search Console

  • Sign in at Google Search Console.
  • Click Add Property.
  • Choose Domain Property (recommended for full coverage).
  • Enter your domain (example: yoursite.com, no https://).
2 Verify Domain

Verify you own the domain

  • Google will show you a TXT record.
  • Copy this TXT record and add it to your domain’s DNS (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, etc.).
  • After saving, click Verify (can take several minutes to hours).
Lumos-managed domains: If you purchased or transferred your domain through Lumos, we’ll complete DNS verification for you. You can skip this step—just confirm it in the Premium Setup Form.
3 Submit Sitemap

Help Google crawl your site

  • In the Search Console dashboard, click Sitemaps.
  • Enter your sitemap URL (https://yoursite.com/sitemap.xml).
  • Click Submit.
4 Check Coverage

Make sure pages are indexed

  • Go to Index → Coverage in the left menu.
  • Look for errors (like Excluded by noindex or Server error).
  • Valid pages should show in Indexed.
5 Grant Access

Give Lumos access

  • Click Settings → Users & Permissions.
  • Add info@lumos-designs.com.
  • Assign Full Access so we can monitor indexing + submit fixes.
6 What We Need From You

Copy this into your Premium Setup Form

  • Domain you added/verified in GSC.
  • Confirmation your sitemap was submitted.
  • Your domain registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, or Lumos-managed).
  • Confirmation that you invited info@lumos-designs.com with Full Access.
  • If Lumos manages your domain: check the box “Lumos manages our domain—please complete DNS verification for us.”
