What is Lumos Designs

Lumos Designs is a custom website service built specifically for residential and commercial synchronized light shows. We provide beautifully designed templates, fully managed hosting, and a stress-free setup—so your audience can enjoy the magic while we handle the tech. A Lumos Designs subscription is required to purchase and maintain a Lumos website, and all sites are hosted directly by Lumos Designs.

What’s the difference between the Classic and Premium Show Kits

Classic Show Kit

  • Single-page website design

  • Ideal for simple home shows

  • Includes show info, FM station, schedule, Remote Falcon link, and map

  • Fully managed and hosted in the cloud by us

Premium Show Kit 

  • Multi-page interactive design

  • Includes everything in the Classic plan, plus “Now Playing” directly on your website, music stream buttons, multiple site links, a media gallery with videos, and full analytics

  • More customization options with animated elements

  • Comes with the Lumos Elite Hosting plan, featuring upgraded server capacity specifically optimized to support multi-page layouts and higher traffic volumes with smooth performance

Do I have to build the website myself

No. Every Lumos Designs website is fully set up and managed for you. We handle the design, hosting, and technical setup so you don’t have to build anything yourself. All you’ll need to do is provide your show details, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Can I use my own domain

Yes. You can purchase a new domain from us, transfer an existing domain to us, or use one you already own. If you keep your current registrar, we’ll provide the connection details you’ll need to point your domain to Lumos Designs.

Can I change my design later

Yes. You can submit change requests directly through your account, or purchase a new template for a different holiday. If you choose a new template, we’ll move your content over so your site is ready with the updated design.

Are your websites mobile friendly

Yes. All Lumos Designs websites are fully responsive and optimized for mobile devices, tablets, and desktops, so your audience can enjoy your show information seamlessly on any screen.

Do you monitor the site after it goes live

Yes. All Lumos Designs websites are actively monitored after launch. We keep an eye on uptime, performance, and server health so your site stays online and running smoothly throughout your season.

Can I Use A Premium Design on a Classic Show Kit

No. Premium designs require a Premium Show Kit because they use multi-page layouts, advanced features, and our Elite Hosting plan. Classic Show Kits are limited to single-page designs.

I Need to Update My Lumos Website

You can request design updates directly through My Account. Log in, submit your change request, and our team will handle the updates for you.

What are Lumos Credits

Lumos Credits are tokens included with your subscription that you can use for design changes. Each request uses one credit. Classic Show Kits include two credits per year, while Premium Show Kits include five. If you need more, you can purchase additional credits anytime.

Additional Lumos Credits are available to purchase at $25.00 each. 

Can I transfer my website

No. Lumos websites cannot be transferred out. All templates are owned and hosted by Lumos Designs, and they must remain on our platform.

What happens to my designs if i cancel my membership

When you cancel, your website stays online until the end of your current subscription term. After that, the site is taken offline. You have 30 days to reinstate your subscription and restore your site. After 30 days, a new template purchase is required to start again as your site is permanently deleted.

What platforms are supported for song voting and streaming

We support Remote Falcon for both Classic and Premium Show Kits. Premium Show Kit also includes PulseMesh integration and a “Now Playing” display directly on your site. We’ll handle the redirect setup on your website, but ongoing account setup and management of these platforms is your responsibility.

Are there any hidden fees

No. There are no hidden fees with Lumos Designs. The only additional cost is your domain. You can purchase a domain through us, transfer one to us, or connect one you already own. If purchased or transferred through us, the domain is billed and maintained by Lumos Designs as an additional cost. Additional QR Code Yard Signs and Show Logo Swag are available for purchase at the Lumos Swag Store

Who do I contact for support

For support, email support@lumos-designs.com. Every request sent to that address automatically creates a support ticket. Our team responds during business hours, usually within a few hours, but please allow up to 24 hours during peak season.

Is My Website Refundable

No. Lumos Designs does not offer refunds on website subscriptions, services, Show Kits or templates. For physical merchandise, we only replace items that arrive misprinted, damaged, or defective.

Can I switch from Classic to Premium

Yes. You can switch from a Classic Show Kit to a Premium Show Kit. Once purchased, we’ll upgrade your Show Kit and set up your site using the Premium design with its added features. Upgrade Here

How long does it take for my site to go live?

Classic websites are usually live within 48 hours once we have your show details and domain connected. Premium websites take about 1 week to set up due to the additional pages and features. During peak holiday season, setup times may be longer depending on demand.
