Setup Guide

PulseMesh streams your show’s audio to visitors’ phones via the PulseMesh player. Guests open player.pulsemesh.io, it finds nearby shows, and they pick yours. This is great for anyone — especially drivers of cars without FM radios (like Tesla).

We will add the listening button to your Lumos website for you; just complete the steps below and send us the details.

1 Create Account

Register your display

  • Go to pulsemesh.io and create an account.
  • Verify your email and sign in to the dashboard.
  • Enter your display’s name, set the correct address/location, and ensure visibility settings allow discovery.
2 FPP Connector (FPP 7.0+)

Install & connect the FPP plugin

  • Open your FPP web UI (version 7.0 or newer is supported).
  • Go to Plugins → Plugin Manager and install PulseMesh (Connector).
  • Open the PulseMesh plugin in FPP and sign in / paste your token to link with your PulseMesh account.
  • Confirm status shows Connected.
Note: The FPP device must have internet access for PulseMesh to work.
3 xSchedule Connector (Windows)

Install & connect on your show PC

  • Install the PulseMesh xSchedule plugin on the Windows machine running xSchedule.
  • Sign in / paste your token to link the connector with your account.
  • Ensure xSchedule is running during show hours and that media paths are valid.
  • Verify the connector shows Connected.
Tip: Disable sleep/hibernate on Windows so the connector stays active.
4 How Visitors Listen

Direct everyone to player.pulsemesh.io

  • Tell guests to open player.pulsemesh.io on their phone.
  • The player automatically finds nearby shows using location and shows your display in the list.
  • They select your show and the audio starts — perfect for cars without FM radios (e.g., Tesla).
5 QR Codes & Sharing

Make it easy to start listening

  • We will add a large “Open PulseMesh Player” button to your Lumos website (linking to player.pulsemesh.io).
  • Place yard signs with a QR code that points to your website’s Listen page.
  • On that page, we will also include links to download the PulseMesh iOS and Android apps so visitors can install them easily.
6 Troubleshooting & Logs

Quick checks if something’s off

  • Connector status: In FPP (plugin page) or the Windows connector UI, confirm it shows Connected.
  • Logs (FPP): Check /home/fpp/media/logs/pulsemesh-connector.log via FPP File Manager → Logs.
  • Restart (FPP): If needed, SSH then sudo systemctl restart pulsemesh-connector.service.
  • xSchedule PC: Disable sleep/hibernate; keep xSchedule open during showtime.
7 What We Need From You

Copy this into your Premium Setup Form

  • Your display location (address/city) used for discovery.
